CLANNAD – Tomoyo Chapter: No Hope, No Love, No Glory, No Happy Ending~

I like sweet-cakes.

Such a lovely, lovely episode. Before watching this, however, I thought that Tomoyo was the purple-head girl who had a younger sister that could do fortune-telling, plus, since I watched the episode with the Nagisa ending, I sort of felt strange seeing Tomoyo with Tomoya. Honestly though, like Omni expressed in his post, Tomoya x Tomoyo definitely make a better a couple, but not necessarily a cuter one compared to Tomoya x Nagisa. Apart from that, I really enjoyed watching this because it was sweet, and maybe a few scenes were corny, and maybe the entire plot and outcome was predictable, but it was still pleasant to see the beautiful artwork and to listen to the emotion that the voice-overs put in for their character.
When Tomoya was standing near the train track, being the person I am, I was really hoping that CLANNAD would surprise us by making Tomoya get run over. Unfortunately, the scene was an analogy, or whatever, to stepping forward / moving on, I suppose. The snow scene was quite nice too, and if you’re wondering if I cried, I didn’t, but the episode was touching and sad. Too bad it wasn’t a tragic love story, though. Imagine how hyperactive I’d be then. I don’t think people in real life would whisper so loudly so that the “victim” would be able to hear it like what happened in this episode. Usually backstabbing is extremely quiet, or so I thought. There is such thing called intentionally backstabbing so that the person could hear, though, which is stupid because you might as well just tell them straightforwardly.
Apparently, that’s why my Vietnamese people talk so loudly to each other and on the phone — so that people would know that they’re not backstabbing anyone, which is why I always have to turn up the volume on the tv when my parents are “talking”. When Tomoyo was dressed in the brown bear suit, all I could relate her to was Pedo Bear lols, and that guy that told Tomoya off was practically pointing out the truth. Nice to see Tomoyo telling Tomoya (gosh, why are their names so similar?) that she would be by his side “forever”, and that she valued being there above anything else. And I don’t get why people were so disturbed by the pair being together. I cannot wait for whatever comes next.

Here, have some poisoned cookies and be fooled by my cute smile

buri-chan : Havent watched this yet :O But definitely looking forward to it!

Gwaa. I don’t know your intention for putting up the comment on Tomoyo’s smile but hey, Tomoyo’s Arc is animated beautifully and masterfully as it can get, considering that it is only a 24-minutes episode. Really beautiful. Hope After Story won’t be a disappointment. *love.love.love* ^^

How could you confuse Tomoyo with Kyou!? Though, they are both completely awesome in their own ways and you do think the same way about the Tomoya x Tomoyo couple as me, so I’ll forgive you. For now…

I personally like the Tomoya x Tomoyo pairing much better. Although i think they tried to cram too much content into just one episode.

LOL tomoyo = the purple hair girl? that’s way off
i agree with you on tomoya x nagisa, they look cuter together than tomoyo x tomoya. it was just kind of weird seeing those two together o_o;;
… omg o_o now that you mention it, what if tomoya was run over by a train
jeez that would suck
You didn’t mention Black Hair Sunohara!

@melancholy
I think the cuteness comes from the fact that they are so awkward with one another, which is really kind of sad. ie they are a cute couple because they don’t act like a couple.

Bleh. Tomoyo is as vanilla as the soft serve ice cream Okazaki loves so much. There’s nothing to really like or hate about her. Okazaki just isn’t quite himself without the Nagisa dynamic.

That’s…horrible. =(
I mean, don’t you pity the poor guy who has to clean it all up?
I liked this episode. It made up for all the Fuko nonsense. Heck, it made up for the other 22 episodes of Clannad (the only one I enjoyed was the basketball game episode).

I just finished watching it and I found the Tomo-Tomo pairing wayyy more natural.

POISONED COOKIES IN CLANNAD? Oh wait, that was just a joke… *lost motivation to bother watching this*
Hmm, now that you mention it, all the Vienamese students here tend t speak REALLY LOUDLY to one another… Or so I hear, they live on a totally different floor than I do.

What? I think it’d be quite a laugh
I personally like this episode too. It seems pretty normal for them to get together. I would prefer Tomoyo than Nagisa anytime of the day. Although, I would love to see an ending of Kotomi instead.

Argh, I really need to watch this~! Tomoyo, although not my favorite Clannad girl, is still all kinds of awesome.
I vote for an OVA of Tomoyo After. : D
