I must be really stupid, or my mind’s been out of whack lately. I totally thought that we were skipping this week for Code Geass, but apparently that was last week. Time flies when you’re drinking anime by the gallon. Anywho, this ep featured a chess game between Lelouch and another of his Great Pantheon of Siblings. A few people have pointed out (i.e. bitched about) the brother’s blatant cheating in the match which everyone is too busy being shocked and awed by to realize the illegality of. Frankly, I couldn’t give 2 grams of crap about the rules of chess if it makes good TV, and it does. Lelouche playing the roll of a little brother who could never beat his bro at games is borderline humorous. More so because I’m the eldest child of my family (2 younger brothers) and my bro who’s just a bit younger than I can almost never beat me at these kind of games (though chess itself is something we are equally shitty at) and it has a lot to do with me cheating all the time. Seriously, I can’t even count the amount of Yu-gi-oh card games I’ve won through often blatant cheating.

This ep features Kallen in a new outfit that has me ready to search the booru’s tonight and find whatever fanart of it is available. For those who don’t know, Kallen is the biggest-breated women I’ve ever loved, and luckily her boobs seem to have shrunk in this ep (what the hell was the deal with that?) She also nearly banged Lelouche – I can’t tell you how happy I am to see a harem that is completely non-competitive. The girls are so horny over Lelouche they are willing to share him – that’s a damn beautiful thing. However, the pair are interrupted by C.C. who basically says ‘I don’t care where you do it, just give me some goddamn tobasco sauce.’ C.C. would be my ideal girlfriend. We could go on about pizza for hours.

In other news, Nina has her first hairdo that doesn’t make you wonder what the hell she smokes before designing it, and she gets some cute/sexy/crazy moments this episode. Milly also seems to have absorbed Kallen’s breasts as hers have grown, and there seems to be a requirement that any women who is to be seen with Lloyd must be showing extreme cleavage. I like his style.

This show isn’t all about fanservice, though (just mostly) which brings me to my post title. In this ep, the Chinese empress girl is to be married off to a Brittanian prince (another of the pantheon, and one who Lelouche evidently considers extremely boring – i don’t disagree) and her bodyguard guy (after a flashback revealing how she saved his life and he promised to let her see the outside world) is the only one who can save her innocence (seriously, she’s like 10, you creepy Brits… not that I’m one to talk). I seem to have a soft spot for promise fulfillment (and a deep-seated rage aimed at the opposite) so China boy coming through was, while predictable, quite fun for me.

We also saw a glimpse of OMG-YES Orange-kun. SO GAR.
