Am I the only one who was surprised when Itsuki spoke for the first time?! I was expecting a quiet voice but wow! Her V.A. is EXCELLENT! I really like how this show has action oriented comedy instead of just dialogue all the time. I might actually like this more than Gundam 00.

I heard the seiyuus for this anime includes Aya Hirano so I thought I should watch it. I think it is most likely similar as Lucky Star with regards to the genre but I don’t really think so that it will make that much impression on me. The characters are interesting and I’m also watching it this fall!!!

Well, I mean that's quite a bit more than discussing how to eat a chocolate coronet, no? That said, it doesn't really interest me that much, I think I need to stay away from these high school comedy things for a while. If you wanted to compare series to Hyakko, then Manabi Straight would be a better choice. But it's only been one episode, so we don't know how good that comparison will be down the line. I liked this introduction, but I did feel that there was something a little off. I can't quite get my finger down on it, but I also feel that it's going to get better. Ayumi reminds me of Yuno, but a person who has more self-esteem issues. I agree with biankita...I would not compare this to Azumanga..in fact I think I'm being a little too benevolent if I were to say this resembles Azumanga in many ways.I usually look for wit and spunk in slice of life,school comedies..and so far its not delivering.I'd give it a couple more to prove itself.Never heard of the manga if there is even one,but its either the studio's stupidity in developing the script,the author's a no good copycat or a combination of both. Hrmm not a big fan of the animation … and something just bothers me about the character designs. If it aired last season, maybe i would of picked it up, but this season it just doesn’t stand out.

That being said Hyakko has some good moments…
