I wish this happened to Sheryl instead.
First of all, I was more excited to watch this episode since there involved less mecha, plus there’s a lot of Ranka in it. I don’t know why Sheryl is still in it, but I guess it does create more tension between her and Ranka and put my drama into the rabu triangle. I really felt bad for Ranka because of her show getting put off to be replaced by Sheryl’s performance instead. But like most dramas and anime I’ve seen, once you reach the level of your inspiration, you will often end up challenging them. I love that one song that Ranka can only remember from her past and now that she met that “new” guy, could this mean a sibling reunion or could it mean a love square? I’m hoping for the latter because then Alto will realize what he’s really missing out. I mean, didn’t he used to be extremely nice to Ranka? Now he’s not even enthusiastic to see her, and I hate it when that happens in real life too.
I commend Luca for having a brilliant mind!

Ah well, I’ve been thinking of dropping this series lately but this episode made me want to continue with it. Maybe it was because of the less mecha action and more of developing the relationships, character personalities and storyline, especially with Leon and wanting to keep surveillance on Ranka. For some reason I’m starting to think that the fugugly cute shit might be an important aspect to the story, like it might hold some “secret within.” And poor Luca and his Samson too. This episode was really fun to watch and when all those guys saw Sheryl’s underwear and went to desperately look for it, I seriously could just imagine Shin being one of them. Unfortunately, next week doesn’t look like it’s going to be interesting at all.

Of course he’s not going to drop everything and start fawning on Ranka when she shows up. Let the poor guy develop a relationship with her first!
