Summary:

After being captured by Yahiro,Hikari is locked up in a cellar like an animal.Yahiro is doing all this to lure Akira to him.Apparently, he and Akira had a little kid’s fight and they vowed never to talked to each other angain unless Akira initiates the conversation.Instead Kei and Tadashi comes to the rescue.Kei decides to buy the whole villa to save Hikari but she already escapes with Yahiro’s brother’s help.She doubles back for some warped reason.By that time Kei is left gaping at an empty celar.Hikari does return with a note from Akira,more like a threat.Hikari and Kei are them free to go,since Yahiro is apparently satisfied for now.Kei’s pissed at HIkari for making him worry.Hikari kisses Kei on the cheek(a way that Yahiro said would cheer Kei up instantly) to lighten his mood.Kei instead is even more pissed since it was indirectly just Yahiro teasing him.Hikari,being simple minded just brushes the thing off.

Episode 10,features Ryuu(no.7).A spate of vandalism at the SA’s greenhouse distresses Akira(her tea set is broken*boohoo*).We learn that Ryuu often lives with Jun and Megumi and treats them like babies when their parents are away.Some random loser whom Hikari suspects is the culprit asks her to challenge Ryuu.Apparently,he has some connections with Yahiro.Meanwhile Hikari accepts a challenge from Kei on the next test.Kei wins = Hikari goes on a date with him? So the rest is history.Obviously,in an anime where people can lift boulders and make rice cannonballs.Ryuu is guaranteed to win.In return,the delinquent promises not to bother the SA again.

Thoughts:

God….why is the story beating around the bush so much? I suspect the reason behind all these “mysteries” between the various conflicts(Yahiro X Kei X Akira etc) is as easily solved as shooting fish in a barrel.Shoujo is never meant to be too complicated.Now, people are telling me that Itazura na Kiss is the bible of shoujo(0.o)Huh?.With that said,I still feel that story is remaining pretty stagnant in comparison to the other series,even Chi’s Sweet Home has more plot development.Since I’m currently busy with many things,including preparing to move to LA,California in September,one of the series I’m blogging here has to get the axe.But on the bright side:Finally a kiss!! Err somewhat.Hopefully episode 11 brings about something new.For me episode 9 was great.Episode 10 was a total snore.
