Toshokan Sensou – 10: Mean Girls Attack!
More romance.
Despite how awesome this series is getting, I’m always reluctant to watch the next episode but forced myself to endure twenty minutes after reading Kabitzin’s thoughts on episode 10. It definitely was a good episode, but I’m still curious as to why the females of the Affairs Department were so cruel to Iku and those of the Defense Force. Girls can be so mean sometimes. Although Iku’s comeback didn’t seem so great, I guess the sound-effects and the other girls’ expression were priceless. I’m glad that Shibasaki is falling for Tezuka as well, and that Iku and Doujou’s relationship is elevating. Iku’s conversation with her mother was also very sweet, and it was certainly nice to see that misunderstandings were finally figured out. Iku’s father is cool too and it was hilarious how Iku’s mother was hitting him.
I thought it would have been totally crazy if Iku had knocked her mom out, since the difference in power is quite high. I wonder if this stuff ever happened to Atsushi in his Prince Charming days…

Yea, Iku’s comeback on the mean girls wasn’t very mean-girls-riffic, but I guess they’re showing again that the girl can act without resorting to physical means all the time (she should make the prissy !$%@^s fix the crack they made her make in the wall though, since they indirectly caused it :P)

I’m not sure I understand why the girls were being so mean, ruthless and catty, but this is all within the confines of the plot itself, which is about militarized libraries, so I guess I don’t have to fully understand in order to enjoy.
