For those drawing blank, Chrome Shelled Regios was short series published into the Monthly Dragon Age magazine and won Best Story with an Academic Theme in Kadokawa’s 2007 Light Novel Awards.

Plot Summary: In the distant future, a polluted world has been overtaken by havoc-wreaking creatures called Limbeekoon. Humanity, having been forced to relocate itself, must live in isolated mobile cities called Regios. A mysteriously skilled fighter named Leyfon Alseif enrolls in the Academy city of Zenri and is immediately noticed by Nina Antalk, leader or the 17 Military Arts Unit. He then reluctantly joins her squad, uncertain of what future awaits him and his new teammates within the city as well as the impending dangers in the midst of a plagued world.

———————————————————————————————————————————————-

The anime follows more or less to it’s light novel and manga counterpart. The opens with Leyfon Alseif and three others in his company battling a behemoth know as the Limbeekon (Flith Beast). During the middle, the flash back occurs to Nina Antalk looking for a new member to add to her mercarny team at school that will dissolve, because its short of members (4 total in a team). Soon entering, Leyfon meets Mifi Rotten who is a new student as well (Reporter) and as well as her senpai’s Narki Gerni and Meishen Trinden.

After the meting two students decide to fight causing a ruckus on campus. As the fight gets out of hand, Meishen is in danger of a collapsing building, but is saved by Leyfon. Minutes after the brawl, Leyfon meets the Student Council Presdient Karyan Ross who simply explains of how the Academy City is run by the students and he is overseer. He transfers Leyfon to the Military Branch that will help pay for his stay (which Leyfon as no choice) and Nina decides to take him into her group. After awhile Leyfon meets the girl who he thought heard of voice by telepathy to save Meishen. This girl later we learn is the brother to Karyan Ross (Leyfon doesn’t know).

After a few minor scenes (a laughable one at Meishen expense) the scene stretches back to Leyfon and his team mates actually dispatching the beast they were fighting in a co-op offense of the three. In the last few slides as the opening theme plays and credits roll, the same girl in very beginning writes a letter that used as an Aside to explain to use the what is going on and as a Letter to Leyfon which ends the the episode.

Chrome Shelled Regios may not seem like the type of anime to change the genere it’s in, but it should be able to add one more series to anime library. From what I read from it’s counterpart, the manga does deviavate slightly and should add a more intresting direction and execution to plotline. I can’t say whether this series is a good one yet, but rest assured Chrome Shelled Regios has a lot more to show us in the future.

God, I miss Nagi-sama already.

Wow, I can’t believe that Kannagi has ended so soon. Well, maybe I can since I haven’t been blogging like I should, but it’s time to clenese myself and give Kannagi the send off it deserves. In this case, the following espiodes that send us off into a torrent of laughs, cries, and a somber farewell to anime that deserves no less than what it is worth.

The 8th ep is a little to less of Jin pondering on Nagi, and who she really is which comes back to bit him in later espiodes and a main plot device. Through in a bewilder Daitetsu and voila, we have a simple and humours epsiode that has no apparent effect, yet. The 9th is a also funny, Tsugumi slips off at the mouth and pegs Jin relationship with Daitetsu to one of homosexual. The only way to repair that wall, Tsugumi and Zange posses as his girlfriend, which doesn’t do any good, but hey, Zange X Tsugumi on the arm and fedding you isn’t a bad thing, is it?

The 10th is the karkore famed episode. Jin and company head to a karaoke bar and everyone gets a chance to sing. Tsugumi seems to try to make advances toward Jin, but fail in doing so, first losing out to Zange and then to Daitestu. Poor Tsugumi. On the other hand, the songs and singing wasn”t that bad from everyone, espically Tarako, which everyone seemed to find creepy, but she had the goods. I never been so turned on in my life…*cough* there is also a Lucky Star Cameo. God, I can’t over how HOT Tarako is…

The last three epsiodes focuses on the main overhead of Nagi and her identity. Frustrated by the unwanted attention due to Nagi, they have small spat, causing Nagi to go off. This insights Jin to do a little investigation on his own to uncover what she is. Talking with Suzushiro (Harkua/Zange’s father) he thinks she maybe nothing more than a lesser god, dipping into a lesson of Japanese X Mythology. The next day, Daitestu alerts Jin that Nagi is missing and Jin spends time to search for her and in a depressed state relaizes he cares for her. Tsugumi tries to comfort Jin, but it anger him instead.

The Last EP, Tsugumi finally relaizes that she can help Jin and verbal gives him a once over to look for her, since it something that he can do. With support of a network information, Jin finds Nagi and confronting her, saying he wasn’t upset she lied and knows they can find her memories. At this time, Shige shows up, the old woman, Jin meet before in last epsiode, but been reborn by Nagi, supposedly. After those seen, Jin and Nagi return home where message from friends wait. Nagi takes a shower and forgets he clothes and Jin runs into her, falling over her body. Tsugumi comes in the wrong time, stun (funny) and runs out with tears in her eyes in humors way and the last scene Jin gets hit by Nagi and the credits play with more scenes.

At face value, the pacing and elements of Kannagi wasn’t a disappointment. I found it even to be more enjoyable than anything I watched in the Fall 2008 line up. Hopefully, once the DVD and CD makes landfall, they will make an OVA or two or even a second season since a lot of things were left unsaid and done. Kannagi staff and the author worked really hard on this series and they deserve a little R&R and respect for this series. I hope to see Nagi-sama again, until then, Farewell Nagi-sama.

Okay, I was following this, but I was to lazy to blog this and acutally a good thing I decided to. I mean, this show turned out to be not I was expecting to be. At this point half of you are wondering: WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?! Well, if you read the title, that would be the anime Akaneiro Ni Somaru Saka or A.K.A for the anime viewers The Hill Dyed Rose Madder. And he is a little of what is about…

SYNOPSIS

Jun’ichi Nagase attends a prestigious high school. He has the nickname Geno Killer since he was rebellious in middle school. This is used, inadvertently, to help a girl named Yuuhi Katagiri from trouble. She later transfers to his school, and in order to protect Yuuhi from danger, Jun’ichi is forced to kiss her. Not understanding what happened, she screams at him. Subsequently, it turns out that Yuuhi is his fiancé as arranged by their parents. Their parents discuss the matter and order them to go out together once a month to restore their relationship. If their relationship does not get better, the engagement will then be canceled.

Besides that point, the anime was born from the unholy union of FENGS bad idea and the H game in Japan. To make sense of what I saying: It’s not worth wacthing to me. The ending well does incest mean anything to you? Yeah, Junchi went with Minato. Ewwww!!!!

I have no idea what the writers were thinking, but that ending is something most Americans over Japanese would frown upon, but what can you do, right? Anyway, with this in mind, the hours of sitting through this sad excuse of an anime has been reduced to absloutely nothing. Not by review so to say, but in short, the last epsiode nothing of intrest or critical demise happens. Nothing at all. I regert the time I spent wacthing this deeply, not how I thought it would end, but the ending grade of what is presented seems to be more uncommon to what I was wacthing in the first place. In other words: WTF?! It been better if they ended right about here.

For all it is worth, this anime was a excellent if not a good example of how NOT TO kill time and next time I proabably will be more careful of what I wacth. The only reason I was keeping track because my favorite voice actoress appeared in it and well, it was something again that would kill time. I guess there is always the next season of shows or something better than this. Blech.

Anyone up for some Tokyo Majin or When They Cry? Anyone…

Finally doing my first post with my laptop that came back form the shop since I had work that needed to be done to it. More good news: I’m home, done with exams, and I get to do absloutley whatever. And what is better than Kannagi catch-up. Let’s roll!

Does it get any more better than this? Does it, really?! You can never ignore a series like this once hits the ground running and it’s a really shame the author of such a series is in the hopstial and recovering from a maybe stress related complications. Well, I do really now love and appericate the work the manga-ka and all the guys at the studio put into this series. Man, so awesome!

Well, before I turn into a fanboy, I must get on with the epsiodes. Ep 04 & 05 are mainly just made to introudce Zange, Nagi’s revealed to be twin sister and the same chick from the ending at ep 03. Mostly we learn that two nagi trees we planted, one for Nagi and the other Zange, but Zange’s tree still stands and must mean she took over a human body. The human body is a girl named, Hakua Suzushiro (comes into play later) that her father tells Nagi and she agrees to help him to return her back to normal. From that prespective onward, the anime pretty-much follows in the tracks of the manga.

Other highlights included: Ep 06, in which Nagi becomes a fandom item at the school, leading her to gain a new skill. Ep 07 Nagi locking herself in a closet angry at Jin for taping over her favorite show, Super Loiki Cuite, which is fixed by non-otaku Akiba. Did I mention Nagi finds Jin’s dirty mags in their? And Ep 08, the maid cafe section, where Nagi wishes to get a job in order for money and more followers. And that should cut a three-hour expanded summary into a few quick mintues for you guys.

True to following the manga, it makes you wonder will the anime finish since Eri Takenashi, the author of the manga-ka is still in recovery. Maybe linked to the otaku protest against a creatin chapter (which said it wasn’t) all I can do is wish Takenashi-sensei a speedy and full-recovery.

Another great espiode of Kannagi. Shame, this blog is behind on it, but you can count on me to bring it right up to speed. Well, when I’m not being too lazy. I wanna see you guys do better. Well, let’s get started.

The second epsiode really highlights more of Nagi and Jin. Nagi finds two kittens outside the house that are dire need of care, but Jin tells Nagi that the mother will come back. In the meantime, we are introduced to Tsugumi Aoba, one Jin’s childhood friends and classmates. After she comes over, Jin fabricates a story of how Nagi is some way related to him to make Tsugumi none the wiser. Later on, Jin goes for trip to the market, to disover the cat mother is dead and rushes back home to feed the kittens, but by the time is to late and at last glimpse see Nagi’s magically send them away. Questionable, Jin and Nagi get into agrument sending Nagi away from the house, which she finds an impurity. Injurying her leg trying to purify it, Jin shows up to hold it down and the two return home, Jin carrying Nagi on his back.

The thrid espsiode introudces to Jin’s friends which are now present throughtout the series. Daitetsu Hibiki, a musclar artisis, Meguru Akiba, a self-proclaimed non-otaku/anime fantaic artsis (closet otaku), Shino Ōkouchi, which is the blonde hair vice-president, and Takako Kimura, the president which has otaku tendiences. A pretty rounded-group, right? Anyway, the male members by the seniors are ask to clean the storehouse, that is haunted, which Jin finds an impurtiy. He hides the fact from Nagi and she decides to follow him to school causing a commocation. Going back with the Art Club members, Jin and the gang find it is just a teacher living under the basement. Nagi continues to search for the impurtiy, but another girl addressing Nagi as her sister, gets it before she does.

Whew…well, if I didn’t forget anything that is it. Not too, fancy or thing, but yeah, in a nutshell, these are the facts. I’m starting to find Kannagi a more intresting than, the pre-convinced thought of others thought it would be and so does everyone else. Even though, I’m WAY ahead of this, I’ll try to keep it constent and welcome help. I just have to say, Arigatou gozaimasu, Kami-sama for Nagi. The other characters are awesome (Tsugumi added to my book) but Nagi is PURE WIN. Oh well, too bad those freaking otaku protested against it on the grounds Nagi could be, well…I leave that alone.

For those of you lost, I’m talking about a interesting case involving Christopher Handley, a fan of manga that could be facing some serious jail time–20 years worth behind prison bars. We are talking criminal charges, folks. I’m not going to be all subjective or objective on this thing, but to sum it up in a few and thoughtful words: WTF?!

FULL STORY HERE: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/editorial/2008-12-11/christopher-handley/jason-thompson

Something is not adding up here. There is no specifics released in this statement enough, well in my case to understand what is going on. As you can tell, American Law VS Japanese Law is VERY DIFFERENT and so is all the territory that comes with it. I am talking age ratings, age, censorship, and the whole Nine yards of what the public can expect and what is accept. In this case, something wicked is at work. Come on, the guys First Amendment right has been violated and pass-over faster than bad Family Guy Joke.

Like I said before, I won’t dive any deeper into this because of the facts and information not touching home enough for me to even explain or elaborate. Yet, one thing is clear: This something that should peak your interest. In what matter exactly? Well, who knows. Could mean the US more restrictive or know one giving a da** about personal rights. Whatever it does mean, you can be sure that this will be case that affects a larger base than smaller.

In the future, I will be doing some more intresting articles so I hope you guys will stick with me till then.

I’m always tried of people saying the PS2 is dead. Well, not yet of course, come on. Well, I guess my guys and girls at GUST/NIS are going to have to prove them them dead wrong with Ar Tonelico II. Yeah, how did they pull that off?

Well, anyway, you take the role of a young church knight named Croix Batel that is sent to find the source of a epidemic of some sort in the region of Metafalss. But, eventually, the simple quest turns into something more and it’s up to Croix and his crew to uncover the secrets that at work. I know, it’s not much of a story and the way I explained it is not much better, but at least you get to see the beautiful artwork AR is know for.

There have been plenty of new changes made to the game such as the Dualstall and battle system as well as the good old features coming back, so no need to feel as if it has been done before. I won’t spoil all the fun for you, but, there are a few surprises too, that been added to this game (I played parts of the JPN version, so yeah I know XD)

But in all moderation like with Persona 4, I can’t exactly score this game, until I see the English product done. So, if you have a couple bucks left from the holiday season and they don’t change the date: You can see AR2 coming January 20, 2009.

A few more screenshots

Well, all you persona fans, dust off the PS2 and get your memory cards ready for the next installment in the Persona series. Oh yeah, I’m talking about Persona 4. So what can you expect this time around? Well, here it is.

Synopsis (From Dev Games)

Inaba, there have been mysterious murders occurring whenever there was fog after heavy rain. There were also rumors about a channel on television airing only at midnight called Mayonaka TV (The Midnight Channel in the English version), during which it is said that one can see his/her “other half” when staring at the TV screen. After hearing about a recent unsolved murder which occurred during the fog, the main character, Chie, and Yōsuke—discuss how each of them had attempted to watch the mysterious TV channel and witnessed the murder victim. The protagonist later realizes that during midnight when the channel is on, his body can phase into his television set as a gateway to enter another world infested with shadows. When first completely entering the world, dazed and confused, the main character meets Teddie. Mayonaka TV and the town murders seem to have a connection. The murder victims may be merely victims of Mayonaka TV. Everyone decides that they will together try to solve the mysterious murders by exploring the hidden world of Mayonaka TV.

Translation, Please ?

All, that means is this: More Persona goodness. If you are familiar with Persona 3 (and if not, go buy Fees, shame on you. Which you don’t have to) it takes place in the same world, but fourteen months afterwords. There have been various additions made to this game as well.

Well, the first self-evident change, a bigger world. Yeah, it is bigger than Persona 3, meaning more shops, more locations, and more things for you to do. So when you are not diving into the tube, you can be fishing, working a part-time job, and so much more. Plus, the Dark Hour is gone, you can go out at night time. That is the job of the weather forecast to help pull show when misty days come, it time for another dungeon shift.

Speaking of the tube and Persona 3, you no longer have to worry about going back to the same area. Well, to access the tube, yeah probably, but when you in dungeons, the locations are scattered, so you don’t have to worry about seeing the same old layout and floors.

Now, lets talk combat. A big change to P4 is that you can control all the characters if you want to unlike the previous installment. Now, it is still game over if the Main Character falls, but if you manage the social links right, your battle party will assist you greatly, even saving the MC from a “Game Over,” hit. Also, shadows can join the battle when you are done fighting one, so be on guard. But I don’t think that will be problem, with “All-Out” and “More One” returning, taking out the shadows is too sweet. Yea h, hence the glasses, which are another addition, but I let you find out about that on your own.

Now, the soical links. What are they? Well, when you speak to specific character in the game (Non-battle party or not) you can form a social link. Hanging out with character and being there friends net you awesome rewards like making more Personas or forces of the mind to help you out. Every time you spend time with a character, the social link increases and so does the ability to make higher level persona. Igor will help you there.

Igor, yeah that old dude with pointy nose. You may know him from pervious Megatan games, and he is back once more. With a new Velet Room and new lady assiasnt, he will help you create and fuse persona based on the soical links you made. Which makes them, better. Pretty sweet, right? You, bet.

Well, persona is a great game, and there is so much to get into that, it will be shame to shortern it by this messly review. So, if you have PS2, $39.99, and free-time, pick up Persona 4. I promise you, YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY. IT COMES OUT DECEMBER 9TH. WATCH FOR IT.

PS: WHEN YOU BUY THE GAME, you get a Free Music CD inside. Pre-order it, and you a get visual art book at no extra charge. Now, that is sweet.

That looks painful, but funny.
Bored at school? Well, what better way to have a bit of fun than join a bunch of clubs while ignoring and maiming your friend (Taksuki) in the pursuit of this fun? Well that is what happen in this episode.

With Torako taking the lead, the girls try to find some club activiy that they would be interested in, but no such luck. Even against Taksuki’s wishes, she gets ignored by Torako and that starts the countdown.

The first club is baseball they try out for, and boom, Tatsuki is down for the count and ignored. The second tennis. And would luck have it, ignored and in pain again. Basketball, you guessed, more pain and ignoraned pleas from Tatsuki.

From sports, there is finally some relief for poor Tatsuki, but still has some slapstick comedy. As the day ends, a friendly game of soccer, yes, leads to pain for Tatsuki. Well, at least Suzu gets curry. Everybody wins. XD

Thoughts

Just more fun and comedy here. The episodes are what you expect from the slice-of-life section, but Hyakko manages to stand part from the rest of the shows I seen so far in this genre. I mean come, who doesn’t like female protagonist making us laugh, even though at someone else expense?

On a more personal note, sorry if my formatting is a little off. I tried my best, but I will just try harder, since this is my first time working with word press so extensively. Next, I will have the post more neat and clean for the readers. Any tips will be acceptable as well to help me out. See ya, next time.

…and remember, Suzu is full of win.
