DB: Aww well I deleted Blue Drop anyway. Maybe I'll go at it again sometime in the future. But I'll take your word that it's great.

no surprise you hate KnM it's the worst show ever, but give Blue Drop time. It's great.

IKnight: I do like codas. However, whether or not the coda is an entire episode is debatable. The nameless children part I could have done without but perhaps it just contributed to the whole sense of Michael and Kiki's journey, the end of which I really did love. Maybe a better coda would be TTGL's, which was short and pretty sweet; maybe that would be classified as a codetta.

Mikoto: Or rather re-watch list in the near future, maybe.

Haha, no worries here. I, for one, think Kaiba's very good and you're making a very splendid choice of adding the series to your watchlist.

Gundam's almost a genre-unto-itself, I suppose. The way that contrasts can be made across different Gundams by comparing their execution of a particular trope (the masked blonde man, for example) feels very like a genre.

Not sure about the final episode, though. I'm not opposed to a show having a coda (as with Infinite Ryvius) but I would've preferred a less wacky conclusion.

Crusader: Haha, oops. Probably, by the time I came to watch the last episode Souma was out of my mind and I wanted Chikane just to go crazy and kill everything. But yeah, I am not a TRUE Souma hater then.

C.I: I don't know. It was too spaced apart

Mikoto: I liked Kaiba. Whether or not it's any "good" is something I don't want to deal with.

coburn: Whoa really? I should read it, to see how that decisive battle turns out, or something.

Hynavian: Pretty much whatever floats every man's boat...

I guess the manga seems more a better source of "sustenance" than the anime, as you put it. Yeah, the mechas in general were laughable at best, but I guess that's preference. They were too "mobile", or I guess that's Gundam et. al (not G Gundam...) speaking on that behalf. Overall, I think, in a weird way, the anime was executed well...but the premise was "wtf". Also, the craziness of the premise outweighed the execution of it so in the end I still got that "....." feeling. I guess the opposite case would be something like ef where the premise is cliche but it's done so well you can't help but like it - but that's just me.

I actually gave Kannazuki no Miko full marks because any series that can bring me to tears at the end of everything (regardless of how senseless in between is) will get a full mark since bringing me to tears is a harder job than making me laugh out loud. I'm not a mecha fan here. All the Oracle robots appearing, fighting, and then being destroyed single handedly by Chikane is a BIG JOKE TO ME. The Oracle robots look ridiculous as antagonists and they die like flies. Souma chivalry is admirable but he fights and dies in such a lame way where I find his whole chivalry a joke. He seems to be just there to confuse Himeko; "love him or her role and regardless of her choice, he will sacrifice for her" role.

The same applies for the manga. I thought that I could get a better understanding of all the mecha stuff if I'm to read the manga but it did not help. The whole mecha thing is still a joke to me, Kannazuki no Miko should just scrap away all the mecha stuff and make all Oracle members hold weapons and fight live instead. There are more yuri moments in the manga and the damage Chikane did to Himeko is much more than in the anime (Chikane flute "rape" Himeko, etc, etc), thus making it a very painful yet sweet ending. Perhaps you can give it a try? :P

I find it strange to think that Shigurui has a continuing manga storyline, since that non-payoff is so important to the flow in the anime. And I am of course in agreement with Panther.

All I have to say: Kaiba isn't for people who think Masaaki Yuasa isn't a versatile anime director and/or didn't like Mind Game (a film which was pure genius, yet underrated as hell). :P
