OH! A Potential Threat
OH! no, another of THAT Yukan!
Whether any of you are interested or not, well, I should have something to say about the new team blog led by Riex, correct? I’m pretty sure with all the traffic they’re getting, everyone should know about them by now. And why should my opinion matter? Well, for one thing, Omisyth and otou-san have joined them, and you know, they’re still here, and yet they’re not. Add digitalboy’s comments on how much Yukan sucks to that despair and you’ve got yourself a very very sad mother. Actually, a mother-figure is far from what I am, but you get the point.
Just so you know, I’m not upset at all despite what was written in the paragraph above—-I just thought a story beginning with an emo would grab your attention—-and all of my previous traitor remarks were really just simple jokes. Seriously, what else could I have said: “Yay, you’re double-crossing us, but I’m glad you’ve found a new level of equal coolness?” In fact, I think OH! is great and it’s a bit late spreading the word, but heck. Anyway, Author stepped up and raised a few negative points about them, but I suppose not everyone can be happy. “Cool” bloggers like Baka-Raptor, Coburn, and more (sorry, my brain’s so stuffed right now I can barely remember the others) have been revealing themselves in their awesome posts as well. So if you think about it, OH! is like a sudden revolution that everyone wants to be a part of, unless Riex really has found a way to brainwash people into following him. If that’s the case, how about sharing the formula for old time’s sake?
This is something that is over my head because I’m still fairly new here.
But good luck with that.

When I started reading this I literally thought, “Well at least we got that Omisyth guy, I like his blogging style.” Then I read the sentence about him sticking a knife in my back and twisting the handle as much as he possibly could.
Well, I will compliment them on having the gonads to team blog on another site while knowing just how homicidal blissmo is.
i think it’s because i’m relatively new to anime blogging but i don’t really like the politicking with this “oh noes! another team blog.” for me, if you what’s written makes me keep on reading, i’ll keep going back to the blog.
the only thing i’m sad about is that writers with their own personal anime blogs are bound to write less on their own blogs. well… except for omisyth because he’s a frickin’ anime blogging machine.
Well, one way or another, OH! is getting notoriety, for better or worse. :3

The above post has nothing to do with any nefarious plan to discredit the rest of the blogging world as part of some rise to total hegemony on our part. Nor is it remotely hypocritical. Also, I would strongly advise looking into Riex’s eyes and/or paying attention to that dangling watch of his.
I don’t know… I don’t like that site. I can’t get the point of what they’re writing, and what I should read, and what is text or navigation or ads… And I have a low opinion about using words like “shit” on websites. (except dasaku.net, there it’s funny). Your blog (and hopefully mine, too) are much better.

I’ve been insulting Yukan way before OH came into the picture. It’s mostly your fault.
I do admit that I have not been reading blogs too often, but how can a blog be a threat? The space for readers is always expanding, so I am pretty sure Yukan and Oi Hayaku cater to very different audiences. THAT and Yukan on the other hand are rather similar. Does that mean Yukan considers THAT to be a threat?

As for the traitors… I imagine Omisyth will still be doing everything he does at Yukan since there aren’t episodic posts at OH. I, for one, will be doing the Yukan podcast exactly as often as I do now…
and just remember – we do Yukan for the love, and OH for the LOVE ALSO YES WE FOLLOW RIEX PERFECTLY WILLINGLY WHY DO YOU ASK.
Hmm…I don’t think there’s any problem with them joining forces with a powerful-ish new entity bent on world domination.In fact,its entirely up to them to do whatever they want,even if they were brainwashed as some claimed.Apathy is the way forward.

The solution is simple: more bunnies with names and a big old blissmo hammer.
Ya know, I like growth.. OI Hayaku! seems like another part of this growing group of bloggers. On some levels it irks me that this big group has appeared all of a sudden.. but that’s just a natural reaction I guess =x! Who doesn’t want to be the person who pulls something adventurous off? I’m a bit jealous of Riex in that respect I guess.

I don’t think OH! is any sort of threat to this or any other blog, but I think that their methodology is too aggressive and lacks humility like most animanga blogs. Their latest post seems to show that they Riex realizes this himself, however, at this point he is just trying to establish their place in the blogosphere and we’ll see their true personality shine or shatter once they start producing “real” posts on a regular basis.
Shine is my guess. But there’s no way to know other than to sit tight and wait to see Riex’s mysterious scheme put to action.
